Introducing Our Raincoast Candle: Supporting Wild Salmon Conservation through our partnership with Raincoast Conservation Foundation

Here at Tofino Soap Company, we're passionate about making a positive impact on the world around us. That's why we're thrilled to announce our partnership with Raincoast Conservation Foundation's Wild Salmon Program. Together, we're working to restore the health of wild Pacific salmon and protect the ecosystems they call home.

The Raincoast Conservation Foundation's Wild Salmon Program is dedicated to using scientific research, policy change, and habitat restoration to ensure that wild salmon thrive across their historic landscape. Since its inception in 2006, the program has been addressing threats facing the survival of wild salmon, including fisheries management, habitat loss, hatcheries, and siloed decision-making.

We believe that every action counts when it comes to conservation. That's why a portion of the proceeds from our special candle collaboration will directly support Raincoast's Wild Salmon Program. By purchasing one of our candles, you're not only bringing warmth and light into your home but also contributing to the protection of wild salmon and the preservation of their habitats.

We're also incredibly proud to collaborate with talented artist Mary Harvey, who has brought our candle labels to life with her beautiful illustrations. As the daughter of a commercial fisherman, Mary has always been deeply connected to the ocean and the West Coast wilderness. Her love and appreciation for nature and animals shine through in her artwork, reflecting the beauty and magic of our corner of the world.

Mary's journey as an artist has taken her from studying Visual Arts at Vancouver Island University to pursuing Graphic Design at SAIT in Calgary. Now, as an independent freelance designer, she's excited to share her art, designs, and love for the West Coast with the world.

Together, with Mary's stunning artwork adorning our candles and our commitment to supporting wild salmon conservation, we can make a meaningful impact on the world around us.

Join us in celebrating the beauty and importance of wild salmon and the ecosystems they support. Together, we can shine brighter and make a difference.
