Although the West Coast is known for its beaches, nature, creativity, and community-focused environment, you can also find some incredibly diverse and delicious food and drink here too.
Tofino and Ucluelet might be small in size (we like to keep our community close and relaxed) but we have people move here from all over the world to enrich our towns with unique tastes and treats.
Whether you’re a local or you’re visiting us from elsewhere, you must give these places a try.
Here is our list of the best food and drink in Tofino and Ucluelet:
Chocolate Tofino prides itself on using only the highest-quality ingredients including thoughtfully sourced cacao from South America and ingredients that have been purchased fresh from local families and farms.
They infuse their treats with local flavours such as Organic Lavender Truffle, Wildflower Honey Ganache and Wild Blackberry Buttercream - yes, it tastes as amazing as it sounds.

Great for takeaway or dine-in, this is a wonderful choice for even the pickiest of eaters as there are options for all dietary requirements. You can expect to find classics such as poutine, burgers and fries here as well as a few unique vegetarian options.

Their patio has plenty of space to enjoy a drink or two after a long day and catch up with friends and loved ones.
Tough City Sushi
The sushi here is incredible but another perk of visiting Tough City is the outstanding view you have of the Clayoquot Sound.
Their eclectic dining room is put together with artifacts from around the world, including vintage Japanese memorabilia, hand-crafted war-era model planes, comic books, rescued stained-glass windows, and wood beams repurposed from renovated buildings in Vancouver’s Old Town.
Whether you’re a sushi novice or a sushi lover, the chefs and staff will have you covered. Try one of their platters for a bit of variety!
Rhino Coffee House
Rhino Coffee is Tofino’s go-to for freshly roasted coffee, breakfast or mouth-watering donuts.
After opening their doors to the community in 2013, they’ve been brewing coffee and baking up fresh daily donuts nonstop, supplying the locals with their daily dose of caffeine. Every cup they pour is locally brewed, making it a delicious representation of the region!
We suggest trying The “Bro” Nut for something savoury AND sweet!
Foggy Bean Coffee
Staying in Ucluelet but still want to experience some outstanding West Coast brew? Foggy Bean Coffee is the place for you.
Family-owned and operated, Foggy Bean Coffee Co. keeps things simple with a small coffee bar and roastery crew who share a passion for coffee.
Searching for a cup of coffee that encompasses all of the magic that the Ukee has to offer? Try a simple espresso to get the real flavours!
